Wsporniki montuje się do podłoża za pomocą kołków 6 × 40 mm lub 6 × 60 mm (w zależności od grubości podłoża).
Odstępy między legarami powinny wynosić maksymalnie 35 cm, licząc od ich środka. Legary muszą być podparte w co najmniej 3 miejscach. Odległość między wspornikami powinna wynosić nie więcej niż 40 cm.
W przypadku innych desek warto sprawdzić zalecenia ich producenta, szczególnie jeśli różnią się wymiarami.
Legary do wspornika przykręcamy za pomocą wkrętów nierdzewnych do metalu o drobnym gwincie o wymiarach 3,5 x 25 mm.
