Installation

-
Joist preparation: Pre-drill the joist using a 6 mm metal drill bit. Drill the holes alternately at intervals of 50–60 cm.
-
Marking the fixing points: Place the joist on the concrete floor and mark the points where the holes will be drilled in the concrete.
-
Drilling into the substrate: Move the joist aside and drill the holes in the concrete floor using a 6 mm concrete drill bit.
-
Countersinking the holes (important!): Before driving in the plugs, countersink the holes in the joist using a countersink bit. This allows the countersunk screw head to sit perfectly flush in the material and prevents it from protruding above the level of the joist.
-
Quick fixing: Insert the plug through the joist and drive it with a hammer directly into the prepared hole.
Expert tip
The plugs are designed for quick hammer-in installation, so the basic tool you need is a hammer. However, it is worth keeping a screwdriver or drill driver with a PZ2 bit at hand. If, after driving in the plug, you notice a slight gap between the materials, a short turn with the driver will allow you to tighten the screw perfectly and firmly press the joist to the substrate, ensuring maximum stability of the structure. In addition, the cross recess in the screw head allows the plug to be easily removed if any adjustment is needed during installation.
