Description

Start mounting clips are an essential component when beginning the installation of composite decking boards. Made of corrosion‑resistant stainless steel, they provide stable and aesthetic fastening of the first board in the row to the joist. The set includes 10 clips and 4 x 25 mm Torx screws.

Note: The included screws are intended exclusively for composite joists. When mounting on aluminium joists, self‑drilling screws must be used (sold separately).

Installation

Pre‑drilling the joist for the starter clip
Before installation, drill the joist with a 3 mm metal drill bit – to approximately half its depth. Skipping this step may result in improper clip installation and uneven seating.

Installing the starter clip
Attach the clip to the edge of the joist using the included screw. The notch in the clip should precisely fit into the groove of the joist. Remember to keep at least a 10 mm expansion gap between the joist and the building or other fixed elements.

Installing the decking board
Slide the decking board into the previously installed starter clip so that it fits snugly. This ensures a stable and aesthetic starting point for the entire structure.
